On 7th October 2019 the World Pool-Billiards Association (WPA) forwarded a response to a letter from the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committtee (SASCOC) relating to the position of the South African Confederation of Cue Sports (SACCS) and the South African Blackball Federation (SABF) concerning representation of blackball in South Africa.

The WPA response is below and announces… “that without the inclusion of the South African Pool Union (SAPU) membership SACCS has no legitimate member to represent the discipline of pool“.
The WPA letter also points out that SAPU alone in South Africa is affiliated to the WPA’s continental member, the All Africa Pool Association (AAPA).
